Ben Evans’ practice focuses on civil litigation, specializing in commercial matters. Mr. Evans has experience dealing with a wide-array of legal issues, including breaches of contract, employment disputes, covenants not to compete, trade secret disputes, DTPA claims, personal injuries, business formation and transactions, contract review and drafting, landlord-tenant disputes, commercial and residential construction disputes, and creditor’s remedies.
Mr. Evans graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with a B.S. in Human Biology, specializing in Microbiology. From there, he attended Baylor Law School, where he received his Juris Doctorate. During his time at Baylor, Mr. Evans both received the William R. Trail Contracts Award and was selected to be on the Baylor Law Review, serving as a Notes and Comments Editor. In 2015, Mr. Evans’ article, “A Refusal to Change, Despite All the Evidence,” was published by the Baylor Law Review. Mr. Evans graduated from Baylor Law School in 2015 and is licensed to practice law in Texas, along with the Western and Eastern Districts of Texas.
Prior to joining Cain & Skarnulis PLLC, Mr. Evans worked for Haley & Olson, P.C., an established law firm in Waco, Texas. During his time there, he further developed the advocacy skills that had been engrained in him through Baylor Law School’s Practice Court Program. In addition, he gained perspective and experience in corporate matters that enable him to inform and advise corporate clients in the most efficient and effective manner.
Mr. Evans and his wife have deep Austin ties and are proud to call it home. Outside of work, Mr. Evans enjoys golfing, running town lake, and competing in half marathons, triathlons, and other endurance sporting events. He is an avid Longhorn fan and enjoys attending home games.
