In addition to his primary practice areas, Mr. Fitzgerald has assisted clients in a broad spectrum of litigation, administrative, and transactional matters ranging from entertainment, healthcare, intellectual property, and financial services, to real estate. Mr. Fitzgerald is also a trained mediator with the ability to mediate a wide array of civil disputes.
Mr. Fitzgerald began his law practice in 2002, with the litigation section of Jackson Walker, L.L.P. in Austin, Texas. Immediately prior to joining Cain & Skarnulis, he spent six years at the Austin-based trial boutique of Howry Breen & Herman, LLP, where he gained extensive experience representing vehicle manufacturers in large loss personal injury and warranty litigation.
Mr. Fitzgerald earned a B.B.A. in Marketing from the University of Texas in 1997. While at Texas, Pat played tight end for the Longhorns and earned both All-American and Academic All-American honors. Before trading in the pads for law books and graduating from the University of Texas School of Law in 2002, Mr. Fitzgerald had a brief career in the NFL. In 2011, he was inducted into the University of Texas Longhorn Hall of Honor.
Mr. Fitzgerald is licensed to practice in the courts of the State of Texas, as well as all federal district and bankruptcy courts within the State of Texas. He and his wife, Laurie, live in Austin and enjoy the outdoors, traveling, and spending time with their two young children.
