Mr. Rosenthal maintains an active litigation and real estate transactional practice.  He also serves as outside general counsel to several of his clients.

Mr. Rosenthal's litigation practice focuses on complex business disputes, but his wide-ranging experience includes products liability claims, shareholder derivative litigation, consumer class action litigation, securities litigation, bad-faith insurance claims, construction defect litigation, high-exposure personal injury cases, toxic tort, trademark, and employment litigation. He has tried numerous jury and bench trials in Texas state and federal courts.

Mr. Rosenthal’s transactional practice focuses on commercial real estate matters including drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements and commercial leases. His background as a litigator provides valuable insight to help his clients mitigate risk before problems arise.

As outside general counsel, Mr. Rosenthal acts as the legal department for his corporate clients that do not have an in-house attorney.  In this role, he manages his clients’ day-to-day legal needs and serves as their first point of contact when a legal issue arises.

Mr. Rosenthal’s clients are as diverse as his practice and include real estate agents, developers and investors, restaurant chains, C-Store chains, manufacturers, home builders, oil and gas companies, and entrepreneurial startups, to name a few.

Prior to joining Cain & Skarnulis in 2016, Mr. Rosenthal was a partner at Strasburger & Price, L.L.P., a large Texas firm where he practiced for 14 years.

Mr. Rosenthal is admitted to practice in the courts of the states of Texas, New Mexico, and Colorado, as well as all federal district courts in Texas and Arkansas.

Mr. Rosenthal graduated with honors from the University of Houston Law Center in 2002 and received his B.A. from the University of Texas in 1998. Mr. Rosenthal was selected as a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and was named a Texas Rising Star and Super Lawyer by Thomson Reuters.
