Joey Chavez has over four years’ experience as a litigation paralegal with a primary focus in ad valorem taxes and tax lien transfers. Born and raised in the small town of Alpine, Texas, Joey graduated from Sul Ross State University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in English. He furthered his education and attended the Texas Tech University Graduate School and graduated with a Master of Arts in English and Comparative Literature. After graduate school, he began his career in the legal field with a firm in Lubbock, Texas, focusing on ad valorem taxes and tax lien transfers. Joey has experience working on state court cases, drafting, and reviewing pleadings, legal research, navigating tax sales, producing discovery, trial preparation, and communicating with opposing counsel. Joey supports partners TJ Turner and Ben Evans.
