Appellate Win for Dominion Voting Systems Employee Eric Coomer, Ph.D. Issued by the Colorado Court of Appeals

C&S earned another significant victory in its client’s defamation case against the Trump Campaign, Sidney Powell, Joe Oltmann, and others.  The Colorado Court of Appeals issued an order affirming the Denver District Court’s denial of anti-SLAPP motions to dismiss filed by a dozen different defendants arising from their defamation of former Director of Strategy and Security for Dominion Voting Systems, Dr. Eric Coomer.

In a 120-page order, the Colorado Court of Appeals found that Dr. Coomer has presented a reasonable likelihood of success on his claims for defamation and intentional infliction of emotional distress, setting the stage for Dr. Coomer’s case to proceed to trial.

Great job to the appellate team led by partner Zach Bowman with briefing and oral argument assistance by associates Brad Kloewer and Taylor Romero.

C&S is proud of its lawyers and for the opportunity to represent Dr. Coomer in a case that will have lasting consequences for future elections, First Amendment law, and liability for false statements of fact.  Read the Court’s opinion.
